Collective Emotions: A Journey to Inclusive AI Representation
In my ongoing personal project, Collective Emotions, I’m dedicated to training my DALL-E 2 bot to generate anatomically accurate portraits of people of color who don’t exist in real life. This endeavor focuses on perfecting physical characteristics and emotional expressions, aiming to mitigate bias in AI ecosystems.
The Six Basic Human Emotions
To initiate this project, I selected the six fundamental human emotions: happiness, sadness, surprise, fear, disgust, and anger. By mastering the depiction of these emotions, I strive to create a foundation for more inclusive AI representation.
Expanding the Gallery
Currently, I’m working on incorporating two additional groups into the gallery: Asian and Arab peoples. This expansion will be followed by a broader exploration of age ranges within each group, further diversifying the collection.
Breaking Down Barriers
Through Collective Emotions, I aim to bridge the gap in AI representation, ensuring that diverse communities are accurately reflected. By doing so, I hope to contribute to a more inclusive and empathetic digital landscape.
