The Disappearance of Technology • Exploded View Poster Series for OpenAI
 
This project explores a simple but profound shift: technology is no longer something we see, it is something we experience.
 
The series consists of ten vertical posters that juxtapose past and present objects through exploded views. At the bottom, legacy devices reveal dense, mechanical systems: gears, springs, wires, and visible logic. At the top, their contemporary counterparts dissolve into layered, minimal architectures; thinner, quieter, more integrated, almost invisible.
 
Each composition follows a strict visual system: white seamless space, precise alignment, controlled symmetry, and a vertical narrative that moves from weight to lightness, from friction to flow. The result is not just a comparison of products, but a visualization of technological evolution, from object to interface, from mechanism to intelligence.
 
The work was created using Weavy.ai across the full pipeline: prompt design, image generation, layout, and final composition. The process combined structured prompt engineering with iterative refinement to achieve material accuracy, realistic component distribution, and consistency across all pieces. Special attention was given to scale plausibility, internal architecture logic, and the balance between mechanical density and digital minimalism.
 
Typography and layout were intentionally restrained. The system relies on minimal labels, “Then” and “Now”, and a single line that anchors the entire campaign: Technology is disappearing into experience
 
Rather than celebrating devices, the project focuses on their disappearance.
